Web Site Uniformity
We recently had the pleasure of working with a provider of Chiropractic health care services.
Milton Chiropractic maintains offices in eight towns. Each office has at least one Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) on staff.
The firm’s previous web site featured portraits of each Doctor along with that individual’s biography. However, each Doctor had provided an image themselves, many of them casual snapshots. The overall effect was not uniform.
When it came time for Milton Chiropractic to update its web site, Dr. David Smith contacted FayFoto’s Steve Nelson with the goal of creating new portraits of each doctor with a similar lighting and background so that the new web site would project a greater sense of consistency and uniformity.
The doctors from the eight branches meet monthly for staff meeting, so it made sense for Steve to set up a temporary studio in the office where they were meeting. Each doctor would send the next one into the studio when their sitting was complete The whole session was over in two hours with minimal disruption to the business meeting.
Steve’s camera was connected to a laptop computer throughout the portrait session, and each doctor was asked to select an image right at the time of the sitting. Dr. Smith provided the specifications for the image size and crop. After some standard clean-up of each selected image in our studio, a disk was sent with eight images ready to drop right into the web page. Print-resolution versions of each selected image were provided as well, should any of the individuals be interviewed or invited to speak at a conference. Shown to the left is one before and after portrait.
