Brief Case Studies of interesting photographic assignments
A library of images for a website redesign.
Constitution Capital Partners of Andover, Massachusetts sought to redesign the company website. The firm had recently completed renovations to their office space which they wished to feature subliminally throughout the website. A critical messaging goal was to present actual staff and partners interacting in their contemporary and light-filled headquarters using an editorial, candid style instead of relying on generic stock photography. Additionally, business portraits of each member of the team needed to be captured to ensure a consistent and professional "Team" page.
Creative director Robbie MacDonald of MacDonald Creative developed layouts and a shot list for the main pages of the site. The home page in particular displays a slide show; photographs support text overlays which call out key aspects of the firm's strengths and capabilities. It was important to set up and compose these images to fit the panoramic aspect ratio required by the design.
A library of images was captured over the course of a full day of photography. This ensured that the client had the images necessary for the website as well as for future marketing needs.
